In 1957 in Vilnius the first Lithuanian-language seven-year school was opened in Naujoji Vilnia catchment area. In 2004 the school was given the name of Barbora Radvilaitė and in 2017 the school was reorganized into Vilnius Barbora Radvilaitė Progymnasium. The Progymnasium has got profound traditions and it is constantly seeking for innovations. In 2016 the implementation of a targeted educating of 1-8 grade students’ ICT competences has been introduced. There are 770 students and 88 teachers at school. Since 2019 all grade students (1-8) are studying ICT. Students have a possibility for an additional improvement of their ICT competences during other school subject lessons as well as during after-school activities (robotics and programming classes). The school is an active community where school, city, country projects are steadily being implemented. The students are winners of various contests and olympiads. The Progymnasium has got a strong ICT base. All school rooms are computerized and having Internet access. The majority of classrooms are equipped with Multimedia and smart boards. Science, Art, Technology cabinets have been modernized with the help of EU foundation funds. School has been equipped with high quality audio and lighting system. We are proud of our FabLab laboratory which is fully equipped.
